I know its still a bit of a ways off, but i was just wondering if any of the WOMiers would be attending. Thought if so mayhaps we could meet up and have lunch or something, Play a game at Warhammer World. or so
Cheers AW

I've never been to any kind of event whatsoever and as I get more into the hobby it appeals to me more and more - especially for the Golden Demons (viewing the entries that is - not good enough to enter myself just yet!!). I don't know how to play warhammer though!! Doh. If I ever did turn up though, you'd recognize me - I'm the hairy guy with manacles dangling from my wrists and legs and a crazy stare in my eyes.

Umm... a few details perhaps?
i.e. When, where, what do I need to take etc. (In fact I've looked at the GW website, sod that, I'm not paying £25 for a ticket!)

I originally had plans going to UKGD 2007. But I will move to a new place during the summer, and I have to buy new furniture, tv, kitchen stuff etc, and also fixing up the apartment can cost alot. So I don't think I can afford a trip to the UK

With life, love and career i have to scrap my plans for this year, my entry won't be ready anyway so 2008 looks like a more realistic option

I will be there this year. And I am all up for going to the local hotel for beer. 1000's of smelly adolescent gamers is not my idea of fun.

Thre last Games Day I went to was 1990, back when it was still held at the Assembly Rooms in Derby, and to be honest it was too big to really see anything even then. Dread to think what it will be like now, with thousands more going. Nah count me out, I know I'll be able to get a better look at the GD entries in WD. Plus I'm buggered if I'm paying £25 each for all of us to go, I'd have no spends.

Good on you Bru at last another person that feels the same as me and you didn't even mention the hordes of annoying ankle biters that constantly trip you over and generally get in the way. I go in as a calm elf like person and come out as something akin to a savage orc.

Where it is going to be disappointing not being able to meet up with Tim, JNR , and the rest of the WOMers , it will be great to meet up with Matty1001, N Rouge Trader, n talonicus.

Personally I think we should organise a WOMbles day out where we can all meet up and share mini related goodness. I crown that day [glow=red,5,300] WOMble Day[/glow].

I'm going to Games Day with a few friends from Norway. I know it will be very crowded with smelly kids, but I just want to enter Golden Deamon to see how it is.

I may possibly go just to check out Golden Demon although I wont bother entering for another year or so. The guy at our local GW was trying to sell me a ticket. I am on holiday that week so it might be a nice start to it. Still thinking about it as I may actually be going to Crete that week.
I think if a Wombles gathering is going to happen it should of course happen in Wimbledon. Although probably not up on the common as we may all get arrested!!

Well I'm going to be there. It may be full of kids, but they are the painters of the future & need to be encouraged and guided.

Sure I often go acroos to GWHQ and they do a spiffing pint of Hobgoblin in Bugman's Bar. Gudelf FTW! I will not be attending GD this year, the reason being as that weekend I should be moving into my university accommodation up in Sheffield. I missed last year due to similar reasons. However, I love going to WHW. I was there weekend before last with some friends (if anyone knows of LO, it was the LO Meet). For a gamer it is like Mecca - the Holy City etc. I love the fact that it is a gaming hall with a pub attached. Also, Bugmans stays open two hours after the hall shuts (it closes at 6pm every day except Sunday). A great day, whether or not you game. The museum is interesting. I also live but a half an hour by train (currently anyway), so a day meeting people be fun. Even if I do not post much on here. KU
