I just put together a GW order for the store I work at. If we order more than $800 we get free shipping. Now, most of you are probably thinking that $800 isn't that much, well you'd be surprised. Our store is rather small and we dont sell alot of GW products consistently. So when I finished putting the order together I took a look at the contents. What I noticed was rather surprising. Almost half of this $800 order was product I planned on buying myself when it came in. Now some of it I couldn't help (I'll be damned if I have to use those UGLY new Night Goblins in my army!), and some of it was somewhat impuslive. Is that a bad thing? I thought working at a place like this would save me money, but now I'm spending even more than I normally would. I guess that's what a discount will do to you...

i thought that if you work for games workshop the discount you get is that you only have to pay for the weight of the mini. basically its a rip cos when you get your pay packet your gonna spend most of it on minis anyway so basically they get more business when they employ you. |

I don't work for GW I work at a Rogue Trader. It seems that alot of my pay is going back into minis though. This will be the last time (until we order the Felix and Gotrek collector models of course). |

Definately a bad thing to work in a store that feeds your hobby, it would be like a junky working in a dope store.
