After seeing Razh's excellent first try at drawing, I remembered I actually have some drawings lying around as well. Took me very long to paint the face, but the dragon was a 15 minute job. Comments (and especially criticism) would be very much appreciated. Cheers, Wolf Fang

Both pictures are excellent, the dragon though for a 15 minute job is fantastic.

great pics, the painting could use more stages of highlighting to define the raised and lowered features, the dragon pic is cool too, is there any syjmbolic meaning in it? the pyramid with the eye, and the stalagtite dripping into an eye shaped pool? conspiricy!!! lol

You just told me in my thread you weren't good a t drawing, lier I'm not good at making up things. the first one was based on a picture, so it's really not that hard to do. The painting was a lot harder than drawing the guiding lines. And dragons are about the only things I have a nice idea about when drawing. For anyone who likes dragons, here's another unfinished one. Took me a bit longer to draw this one though. And yeah, I'm not happy with the highlighting on the face either. I had to paint it on regular paper with crappy paints and I couldn't blend them in without getting white spots. Because of this, there was a lot of difference between the colours, which made me a bit hesitant on highlighting further. Should've done it anyway. Meh, can't be bothered to change it now. Thanks for the comments guys. Cheers, Wolf Fang Oh, forgot to mention. The first dragon is about 15cm * 15cm. The face is on an A3 sheet of paper.

They are good work!
I like the mood in the painting.
The dragon (15 min job) lacks a distinction between foreground middleground and background. This can be done using a shading technique (where colours tend to lighten or even lines blur as you go to the background).
You can also do this by fooling the eye with perspective having things get larger in the foreground and go off to disappear behind the dragoun in the background.
Keep up the good work!

Hi, I think the first painting whilst not technically "good" has some really eyecatching colours and that alone draws me to it. I like the pencil sketch of the dragon, should be real nice when its finished - not too keen on the other dragon though. That second dragon would make a real good design for a tatoo come to think of it.
