Having taken part in the mini exchnages on Cmon I thought that it might be cool to do the same sort of thing here, the idea is for those that have not seen it before is people who are interrested post in a sign up thread, then once complete a list of names is drawn up. now the first person on the list sends a mini/s to the next person on the list and so on until the end of the list the last then sends to the first. The minis sent are supposed to be unwanted minis that we all tend to have gathering dust and should be unpainted. Also the only commitment is to send one mini to your posting partner but you can send more if you wish. Once recieved the participants then paint the mini and post it in a thread that I will open here. Needless to say that whatever you send is kept by the person that recieves. So what do youthink is there interest in this sort of thing?

Sure why not, I'm game. [sarcasm]I'm sure I can scrounge up an unpainted mini somewhere... It might take me a couple weeks but I'm sure I saw one or two a few months back.[/sarcasm]

I have done a few mini exchanges (although the figures I sent to NSA went missing on the last one). I am always ken on seeing new stuff. My only issue is still painting time.

I'm in. although still havent finished any from the last mini exchange on cmon. Yeah...that seems to be the hard part for me too. I would be in a some point, but it depends on when this starts. I have a full plate for the summer. Since I paint so friggin' slow if I get three or four minis I need to paint, I'm booked for like 3 months... Another twist on this would be to exchange painted minis. It does provide a certain impetus to get the painting done when it is for someone else. Obviously, in an exchange like this, skill levels vary and it just has to be part of the deal that sometimes you will get a good painter (Tim) and sometimes not (me). There are several very good painters here, so hopefully those of the upper echelon will get well painted minis every now and then. Just a thought.

I participated once in a painted mini exchange, that was my first one. I was young and naive, I put all my efforts into my mini and at the end I didn't get one in return... So the ruleset of the exchange should be created in a way that every participant can avoid such experience.

Well this would be for unpainted minis much like the one on Cmon but obviously with a smaller participant list, I think the painted idea might be difficult to pull off.

Sorry to hear that Endrem. The way it was done over at Reaper was that some of the more prolific and/or nice painters would paint something for the poor soul that got left out. I think the community is small enough here that would be less of a problem. That being said, I am totally cool with exchanging unpainted minis.

Well it seems as though we have a little bit of a list forming, if we could get a few more people to join in then this could become a real possibility.
