he is a great painted indeed. I do also feel sorry for him, what a evil thing to do to an artist!

This guy is good.. obviously doesn't have much 'bar' time with all those minis to paint!
As for the pretender.. that's life, although a day trip to ontario with a baseball bat might be appropriate

Wherever you go in life you will always encounter at least one mindless moron.

Basically Gareth painted a full army of goblins, trolls and spider riders. He was showing them to us at LO and one of the posters congratulated him on winning the competition on the Canadian GW site. Gareth knew nothing about this and on closer inspection it transpired that someone had stolen his pictures and entered them as his own in the competition.
As things stand he has contacted Canadian GW and is waiting for a reply.
Strange, the links were working fine earlier.........

how crappy is that, well you could take it as a complement that people are willing to do wrong just to imitate your skills as a painter. But still very wrong.
I would have to agree with the whole baseball bat thing.
I would hate to have someone pass off one of my minis as their own.

I just had a look there. Both threads have disappeared in their respective forums. The page in GW Canada has been changed too. A thread on the second forum outlining that GW Canada are dealing with it has appeared and it seems that the person everyone thought was crulprit was totally innocent. Good idea no one went overboard without proof.
Still not a nice thing to happen.
