I was just browsing through CMON and i realised i can no longer be objective in my voting.. this is no condemnation of the site, because i love it for all it's baubbles very much... it's a problem with me... I find i now compare my scores against other minis and think is that as good as mine?? This usually ends up in a lower score than what i later feel is honest.. puh.. a dilendrum... so i've decided not to vote any longer with exception..... i've noted that people on threads, in particular spanish threads, come on active with atleast 30 votes and usually a generous score, so to this end, if you are my friend i shall also vote you 10 regardless Don't get me wrong, i am in no way resentful, i'm just pointing out what i see, my marks on CMON are more than i wouold give.. it just doesn't seem right So post a link and you're sure of a 10 rom me, if i like you

i dont really vote anymore unless i think it an awsome mini, the scores are all over and dont really reflect the work and standard of the paintjob

I still vote and I try to be objective, sure people that I know and especially people on here will get a higher score but mainly because I know the amount of effort they put into a mini, Rhazh's wildman is a good example of that. It is difficult not to judge voting against your own but I hope that I manage this reasonably well.

The voting system in itself is flawed, they should do miniature blind voting for the first month and use that score as the mini's score.
To be honest if i were to design a site like cmon i'd do it very differently.

I almost never vote for minis, and if i do I almost allways vote for minis that has been painted by a nice person i know from the internet. The voting system at CMON is not good for the hobby IMHO, and people sometimes care more about the vote than the mini itself. I mostly use CMON as a source of inspiration and a waste of time. Watching some awesome minis is allways great fun, but it takes ALOT of time ;D

If i was to vote, i would vote honestly. So for example if the minis looks as if its been dipped in a paint pot and left under a hairdryer, i would give it a minimal score.
People i know would get a better rating, for the same reasons Tim stated.
