Here's the second of my Halloween projects. I had fun adding the chain. I attempted to give the illusion this guy was floating, but I think it's a bit too subtle. The glowing eyes and mouth came off ok, but not quite as I intended. Hit me with the critiques!  And the linky: coolminiornot.com/235702 |

Love the chains, and the atmosphere. Not too fond of the mouth, looks like he's showing off the pumpkin he just devoured...
Gravestone is very nice!

Very evvviiillllll!! Nice work, especially on the cloak and gravestone, although i do think the orange mouth is not working for me - nicely done orange. Maybe a jack o lantern intergrated onto the base would have been an idea to show off that lovely orange glow.

Fantastic work in this one. The chain is beautifully done. My only thing is that for the eyes and mouth is that you could have gone a little brighter in spots. That might have given the look if glowing...ness...whatever the word is. If he was a little higher on the base he may have looked more like he was floating. Maybe you could he used a little rock or something. Overall, and wonderfully done mini. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the critiques, everyone! Yeah, the eyes and mouth were a battle the whole way...I finally gave up (read: ran out of time for the contest). Some of the problem was the eyes and mouth were hidden a bit under the hood and even without the hood were recessed on the mini. In retrospect, I probably should have highlighted to pure white to compensate somewhat for the natural shading of the model itself. Anyway, thanks for commenting! Now that these two contest projects are over, I'll get back to posting regularly on the forums--I apologize for my absence!

is that an old Bob Olley sculpt, great mini the chains are the tops, I think the mouth and eyes could be a tad brighter but o much. Great stuff Sean.

Veryy cool concept, I agree the lighting inside the mouth could be a tad brighter, but gives a good effect anyway.
The chains are an excellent touch, and the base while spase is very very fitting!!!
