Well England go out of the World Cup again, now I have to wait another 4 years to see if we can ever actually win it again.

I was sure the moment it went to the shootout. It's a pity. I'm only 27 and have already seen England lose in penalties 4 times I think... That, combined with my favourite Argentina's yesterday shootout, now I don't have a team to support... Pity for Lampard and Steve to miss their penalties...

yeah but if they had played like they could win from the start and if Rooney hadn't been sent off then things might have been different. That system we were playing was never realy going to work.

well i say roll on euro 2008. steve mclaren will be in charge and he has worked with England for a few years so he will know the players strengths and weaknesses.
plus, David Beckham has stepped down from the role of England captain which is a shame i think.

Why will it be different under Mclaren, he has worked with Sven for a good number of years now and has learnt his trade off him. I can't see anything changing to be honest.
