Space Hulk

Well before I went on Holiday last week I placed an advance order for what is for me the best boxed game (next to Talisman) that GW have ever produced "Space Hulk".
When I got home it was waiting for me and I have to say that I am totally impressed by the quality of this product. The plastic miniatures in the box are the best IMO that GW have ever put into a boxed game, my favourites being the dead terminator and the genestealer that is ripping through the floor, but all the minis are fantastically detailed and very well cast. The rule book and mission book are also of excellent quality with colour photos and printed on tgood quality paper.
The floor tiles are very chunky and have good weight to them and they have even had them debossed that gives them a bit more dimension.
The box itself is made from good quality strong card and looks like it will stand the test of time with some fine artwork on the lid and some excellent photos of painted minis from the game on the inner part.
It is expensve but this time it is worth every penny.

I was stoked to pick up my set from the store! It's totally worth every penny since a box of five terminators on their own costs about $50USD so to get 12, plus a bunch of genestealers and everything else that was in the box for about $100USD, it's a steal!
The box is surprisingly heavy (I think is was about 4.5 kg), but when you open it, you can definitly see why.
I have to agree that these models are some of the best GW has released. I love that each terminator has their own stance! The models even come in different colors so if someone wanted to just jump in and play, they could (not that telling the difference between a genestealer and a terminator is difficult). Dead terminator is my favorite too, and the first one that i chose to paint up.
If you plan on painting them Tim, I looks forward to seeing them

I recieved my copy of Space Hulk today. The price kept me from buying it at the beginning, but hearing all the positive reaction I just had to order it. Fortunately, after the game being sold out at GW.com, I was still able to order it from a Dutch store.
I love it so much! Just like Tim and scarecrow say, the minis are fantastic. The detail is magnificent, and the casting has left hardly any flash or mould-lines. The snap-fit system is very well thought of, and the poses of characters don't look stiff at all, I really like all the accessories sculpted on the miniatures, makes them look special.
As for the gaming material. It looks really solid, as Tim said. Can't wait to start playing. Did any of you have a chance at a game yet? If so, I'd love to hear your reactions.
