Now the tavern is a loose place that will tolerate most things, BUT, it will not tolerate racist, terrorist or just plain evil comments.
Use your noggins, by all means call someone a twat if you want, but do it it a friendly kinda way.
Anyone caught abusing this place with have their membership revoked, and have to buy everyone a drink.......a big f**king drink OK!!!

Good idea, I would just like to ask that we tone the language a bit, anger generates it sometimes but I am not keen on seeing it on the boards for the simple reason that though I know we are all adults here and are perfectly capable of using bad language, I just don't like to see it (personal thing) here as we don't know who else drops in to look around.

Kinda defeats the option of having a free for all section, which with the way we all seem to be feeling was just what the Dr ordered.
Didn't realise you were so against swearing.

You know me I swear like a trooper but it is one thing to say it in company and quite another to look at it written down. I would also say that just because you warn someone not to look at something especially if you are young and inquisitive that you will abide by that. In fact it is my experience that the younger generation would do exactly the opposite. I also don't want to get on the wrong side of proboards as well as keeping people away from an already quiet site. A lot of people like me will click the view recent topics link and that brings it up without reading the warnings. There is alot of tension in the air at the moment I admit but I feel we can vent our frustrations without going down that route plus you can type out your words using asterisks to blot out some of the letters and people can still understand exactly what you are saying. I will say that I do like the new banner, quite unexpected when I logged in today. |
