New year and a new mini from me though in truth it was started last year. There is a story behind my reason for painting this particular mini despite it being a cool mini any way. My wife has always had a bit of a temper even when she was little in fact she told me a story once of an occasion where she was out playing with other children as children do and one particular child was on a swing that she wanted to have a go on. She asked said child for a go and when he didn't give the swing over to her she went off to her dad's shed brought back a hammer and promptly whacked the offending child around the head with it, needless to say this didn't go down too well with the child's parents but she did get her go on the swing. My wife is also not the tallest of people so this mini is perfect as a caricature of said offending youngster. So without further ado I give you Doris Hammerhand Needless to say we all tread very carefully in my house. Happy New Year.

Bloody spot on buddy!!! Must say as I usually do, that it looks 10x better in real life, but then all minis do methinks!!

Great story, Tim! Doris looks great--the metallics are well done as always and the face is excellent. I do know the feeling--my Mrs. doesn't carry a big hammer, but has a tongue that is razor sharp .

Thanks guys, I did have this mini submitted on Cmon. I put it up twice but after being attacked with crap votes the first time the mini was down to 4.5 with over 25 votes and second time it only made a 6 with over 60 I have decided that I will not be putting any more of my works on there, in future it will be here and one or two other places that my works get shown off. Incidentally at the same time all my other minis on the first page of my gallery got knocked down by at least a point on their scores before submitting this one.

She looks fierce I love the real metallics, looks so much more realistic than most NMM. Since I'm rather new to this hobby, I only know CMON for a little while now. But if I compare older minis to the newer ones the rating has gone down incredibly. For the most part I think people there are too picky and many don't give remarks or justification for their grades. I think your work is brilliant, and most importantly it is very distinctive: you immediately see who made it! Keep it coming
