Whats really pissing me off at the moment is the lack of posts this site get from it's regular signed in members.......even if just to say 'great job' on things that have been posted..... Most days it's the same old 7-9 members who log in, 70 odd guests and who posts regular anymore??? Myself, TimC and Jabberwocky......... If you guys don't wanna see the site shutdown, then by all means post away.......but don't come fucking moaning when it does go, as it's down to us all to keep it alive. Yes we've had our ups and downs over the past year, but I hoped that we'd get over them and thrive away........ Guess I was wrong. I post on multiple boards as I know most of you all do too, BUT I always take the time to come and post my stuff here too. Small we maybe, but all the boards we frequent were once this small too......wonder how they survived. As a footnote I'd like to add that I will not apologise for the way I am feeling, and I know my feelings are shared by others too. If you feel guilty about not posting then thats your own faults.

I have to say that it is a little upsetting to see the boards so quiet (the quietest they have ever been in fact) I am hoping that this is just a phase and things will pick up again but if they don't then the site will surely die and that is sad because one thing our hobby does not need is little places like this to disappear.

It is a very cool site and one I like to visit now and again.
If I could paint as well as most of you on here I would not mind posting pictures.I think I need my eye's testing before I can get decent paint jobs.
It is also good to find out about new miniatures released on this site too.
Hoping to have some things to share in the very near future.

I for one have not posted as much as i probably should have. I do try to contribute where I can but outside hobby things get in my way many times. As far as manicminers comments on quality are concerned I do not think that is valid as all levels of skill are welcome here and have been encouraged by other members and all the comments have from what I have seen been there to help and foster improvements that even the best painters need sometimes.
Even van Gogh never produced a perfect picture everytime.
With the economic crush bearing down on us in 2009 and not being able to spend as much this may look like gloom for some but for the mini communities it could mean more time at home and more "time" spent on what we have all come to love. Remember a hoby is not just for Chrsitmas

I have been re-active in the hobby for a couple of months now and have pretty much only lurked. Checking out peoples wip's and showcases are my main activities on most of the forums i go to. But WoM is normally where I post first because I like the folks on here, so hopefully I will be back to getting creative again and lots of sculpting especially. I must admit to some laziness though as I have read many peoples wip's , had some thoughts or opinions on their work and then somebody else posted the same thoughts first so I have kept quiet.
The boards are quiet at the moment true, but lets look at some statistics a moment. I recently posted the sculpt of my brushpot in my WIP thread which was buried somewhere way back. It had about 920 views when I was posting the sculpt in it and in 5 days is now at about 1092 so that proves alot of people come by and visit this site. 170 views thats a good bit of traffic isn't it ? I posted it on CMON forums on the 8th and at time of writing this its had 219 views, so not much difference between viewing figures and CMON is obviously a bigger forum, granted not everyone is gonna be interested in looking at it but it suggests to me that this board is popular with many people. I know the issue here is posting, but if people are concerned that they cannot do as well as the other painters on this site as in manic miners comments then they need to be encouraged somehow not to be so shy about showing their work. As Tadme said, people on here are helpful and interested in helping each other out so if the previous sentence applies to you - don't be shy get 'em out.

You know what...I think that the more active I am in the hobby the less time I spend on the net searching sites etc unless I'm researching some product or posting something that I have done...
I have been guilty of not being an active member here but it is tru of most sites I am a member of...

Ebbs and flows, we have never been the busiest site in the world but we keep plodding slowly by. The site is only just over two years old now and we are still getting some posting so I think we are ok. Sure I'd like to see more activity but to be honest you can't make people post and there are so many other forums out there that to survive this long i think is an achievement in itself.
