Fine work on this one, Andre! Without a doubt one of your best to date. I like the weathered bits here and there--a well deserved win.

I really like the way you have captured the mini, and how you have chose a mini so well suited to the style you are creating in your own work. The natural feel for material is there, hair, beard etc are all excellent. I do feel the flesh is not consistant with the rest of the mini, the almost angular highlight has too much contrast and the colours are not so harmonious. I would wash the flesh down with thin raw umber and then give a paler complexion..that's just an opinion though But I would definitely reduce the contrast even though the sculpt seems to 'demand' it The right hand shoulder armour is awesome, I don't know how you've achieved it but i love the finish. Congrats Andre

Well done mate this certainly was a surprise as it came out of nowhere as we hadn't seen a painted mini from you for a while. I like the shoulder armor too and like Dennis I don't know how you achieved it. Well done.

Thanks for your comments every one! I really appreciate them The shoulder pad was, if I remember correctly, basecoated with scorched brown, then shaded with a wash of Chaos black and Scorched brown. after this I successively added bestial brown to schorched brown working towards the edges. Whe I had maybe 50/50 scorched brown and bestial brown I began adding sneakbite leather. and then I added some bleached bone for the final highlights. Lastly I glazed it all with some catachan green(2 or 3 times I think), to tone it all down a little. Now this is just from the top of my head, might have done it a little differently, but no big differences. Oh, and here is the CMON link: www.coolminiornot.com/204959Cheers, Andre
