Here are a few pics of the Minotaur boss of a Mordheim Warband I'm working on. I'm pleased with it so far, these models are very stylised with large areas of solid shade which give a more cartoony look. Also, Beastmen are my favourite subject with the exception of Savage Orcs. Well, I'd better crack on with the arms.....

Ahhh Looks ace! I love beastmen too, though I haven't painted many. I like your colour scheme, I would suggest adding a black wash over the armour parts tough to give it a bit more contrast. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for your comments Andre.
I will wash over the armour and I'm also going to be picking out the Chaos symbol in orangey-red....watch this space.

Nice work so far I have the beastman warband for Mordheim and they are nice figures, is this the one holding the woman by the hair that is a bit of a pig to put together, I agreee on washing over the metals to dull them down also you might want to try adding a bit of rust to them as I don't think that beastmen are particularly clean creatures.

Hi Tim, Yeah, it's the one holding the woman. good point about the rust, I'll probably dirty up the robes also. O.K. here's the next phase.... Rusty armour, dirty robes and I went for a knackered up chipped paintwork look on the chaos symbol. I'm loving this mini'

now that is very cool! Love ther weathering on the clothes. the chaos star is also very nice, might suggest to darken it a little in the lower areas, I'm not sure though, it looks cool as it is too:D

Looking good, the symbol came out especially well, I think the fur could stand to be a bit darker in places and maybe a bit lighter in other spots but still coming along very nicely.

Thanks for the encouragment chaps. It's great to have the ability to talk to and show stuff like this.
As I mentioned before I have recently returned to painting after a 20 year break and I've lost touch with my painting buddy from way back then so until now I've been all alone (sniff!)
Bru', I think I will give this Warband a touch of 'Nurgling' More pics soon.
