Cool, glad we're ok, and to be honest I expected more from Dark Messiah too, now his mini screams cover me with freehand, and I know he can do it from previous pieces he's shown.

to be honest bru am not too happy with it either, i tried somethin diff and it didnt come off, i think i need to learn to paint within my means for comps rather than trying somethin new.

As for the scale of andre's mini, i fail to see the issue, yes it of a larger scale so he has more opportunity and space to try some freehand, but the flip side of that is their a much larger area to paint, it requires more effort and is harder to get right as mistake or flaws in ur blending become glaringly obvious. I personally would have used very little freehand myself, its a complex busy mini, a simple paintjob suits it.

only crit id have is perhaps paint a thin line around the bottom of his tunic, or perhaps try tartan, add a little more weathin on his shoulder and try a more vivid red for the blood on his club, other than that is a well executed paintjob on a nice mini, get the basing right and its arguably the best mini uv done (if memory serves me right and a worthy winner

Right sorry this has taken me longer than I had planned but I have very little time these days to sort stuff out, well the official winner of the contest is Andre who has run away with the voting well done matey. Second is Zapotek and third is going to have to be decided with another pole, I will put up those that are tied for third in a thread and voting will take place for a week if after this the voting is still tied then I will make the final judgement. Well done to all the entrants as everyone produced good stuff for this contest.
