Great work! this one is painting-vise better than your Dark Angel guy, me think. Maybe you could have taken the highlights a bit further but that is a matter of taste. I really like the back of the cape he's wearing.
But again... a bit too shiny, especially the boar suffers from it. unless the fur has recently hit a mass of rain it wouldn't shine like that.

Thanks! I don't have any matt varnish but i'll be sure to pick some up next chance i get. This guy actually has quite a few inks on him, so that would explain the shiny boar

you could also resolve the "shine-problem" with different colours. Because some (especially revell) have the problem that they are always shiny when they are dried.

I think you've done an outstanding job on what is a very 'busy' mini, without over complicating it. Inks do tend to shine when dried, my advice is to switch to the new washes as they dry very matt, (unless you use Tims, LOL!!!) and give very good shading. Not alot to improve on really, like others have said, maybe another highlight on the highest parts, all in all a great painted mini to be proud of mate!

Not quite sure if it makes a difference but my light source isn't a lamp or anything. Since i don't have a good light i took these pictures outside and used the sun as a light source. It worked quite well but i don't know if that is adding the shininess of the model.

I think it is a pretty decent job, the painting is neat yes the shine is detracting from the finish a little but still the overall quality is very good, I do think that in one or two places you could push the highlights a little further, apart from that top job.

looks very good from what i can see other than the stuff pointed out a nitpick by me (being pathetic) but i personally dont think an orcs nails would be brilliant white (see majorly pathetic) but looks realy good i like the blue war paint on the boar

Very nice job on this one! The warpaint is cool and I really like the "ghost staff". The others covered most of the critiques I have. Good job on the basework as well. I might suggest adding a little grass around the edges of the rock for some visual interest, but that is just a matter of preference.
