Odd question i know, but i'm curious. Some people paint in absolute silence while others paint while listening to loud music so i became curious about your painting stations. I usually paint (this probably isn't the safest thing to do) on my laptop, and yes, i have a little cloth to cover my keyboard so it doesn't get ruined, with a movie playing. Since everything is a simple 90 degree turn, its all handy and what not. And most times there is a Dr. Pepper and a box of junior mints near by because i happen to find those delicious So what about you?

Hmm usually I have music on, being an old school rock fan it is something heavy and fast. Though sometimes I do paint in silence. Depends on the mood really.

depends on my mood. sometimes absolute silence, sometimes some metal on (mostly gothic metal, the strong fantasy themes in that music brings me in the mood). I always have a pc or portable near with a chatbox open. drinks varies from coffee, water, a soda or a beer.

Hmmmmmmm................ Alot depends on my mood and the minis being painted (and my bloody neighbours) as to whether it's silent, or I have music on, mostly tho I liketo have alocal radio station on, that way I don't have to chose what to listen too, unless something really crap comes on. I do have a small room (studio) to myself and it's set up for maximum painting and mini loveage!!! Here's a slightly out of date pic, I've hada bit of a paint and minis shuffle around since this was taken a few months back. Drinks, come in the form of Tea or juice, or just plain ol water, not a big fan of carbonated drinks. My laptop is also in the studio, just a slide on the wheeled chair away, so everything is pretty much to hand.

I typically paint in silence, although on occasion will have some music going. The computer is nearby as is the photo set up so I can get the mini pictured easily. As for drinks, usually some water or more often some Coca Cola. The only thing missing is a mate to chat with. The Mrs. does a bit of painting every once in a great while, but that ends up more of a teaching lesson as she is new to the hobby. I envy Tim and Bru very much in that regard.

Either I paint with the television on in the background (those are less productive painting sessions, as I tend to get distracted), or in silence (more productive painting sessions).

I always either have music or a podcast on. I prefer the podcast as its nice to have people chattering away about stuff. I general listen to The Podhammer podcast or 40k Radio or The D6 Generation for gaming stuff. If its computer games I listen to 1up yours.
If not I put my itunes library on shuffle and see what comes up.

Absolute Chaos, it's the only way to be so particular! I could have the xbox on with the hifi pumping and the web beside me... then i get inspired to paint, leave everything running but totally ignore them... then comes silence before the landlord tells me to turn it down! Lately been getting into Italiana music whilst painting, not recommended if you're suicidal As for drinks and food, Coffee, lots of, and fruitella, mars, tayto crisps... but right now 8 cans Holsteen Pils, no comments tommorrow!! Just got fired from my regular job, hence the celebration

dude, i love painting when i'm high. i get stoned quite a lot, and listen to a lot of electro and trance. i'm also a guitarist in a heavy metal band (shameless plug here! www.myspace.com/lostwithoutasoulmusic ). so really, as long as i'm in the mood to paint, i'll do it no matter what state i'm in. scorpion green does look funky when you're boxed though lol!

You can probably come up with of the greatest colour schemes when your high because nothing seems rediculous! Can't say i've ever tried it before though...
Oh, and Lee, i checked out your band and you guys are pretty good
