Good day gents! I call this little Bugger Finished from now on. MAybe not my best paintjob ever, but I don't mind. I had lots of fun painting it, and the best thing is that I am painting again. Thanks to all of you for your support, and especially to Vincent who came up with the idea! Very nice work, good to see you painting again. What he said. Seriously, though, I think you have done a fine job with this one Andre! The base is my favorite part--I think you captured the essence of the swamp with this one. The gobbie skintones are nicely done and I think the photography isn't quite capturing how good this is. As for critiques, just a couple. I think a bit of weathering on the boots and legs would add to the piece. The gobbie is standing on a pile of bodies in the middle of a swamp and his boots look too clean, IMHO. The other is the blood on the front of the sword. I think the back side a bit better. The front (particularly at the top notch) looks too rounded/thick IMHO. On the back side, it is thinner and more "streaky" which I think looks more realistic. Anyway, the most important thing is you are back in the game. Glad to see you painting once again, and I look forward to seeing more from you.
