Need some tough critiques for this one. I'm tossing my hat in for a Reaper contest and am working on this little gal. It is actually a gift for the Mrs. as she is graduating with her Master's degree in May. I think it is some of my best work to date, but I really want to push myself on this one, so I am going to need a critical eye. Thanks!  |

Off the top of my head I think she needs darklining (like blacklinin but with a very dark version of whatever colour your "blacklining" for less harshness) and a bit more contrast in places like the hair and leather.

Thanks for the reply, GSG. I'll go back again and hit the darklining a bit heavier. The hair is tough--it is very shallowly sculpted, but you are right, it needs more highlighting.

I think it looks great, I do agree the hair needs a little more work but I wouldn't do any more darklining if it were mine.
