This was me entry for round one of Iron Painter season 5. There is a smidgeon of blue in everything although it's not quite as apparent as I might have liked. Overall though, I am very happy with how this piece turned out. The base is not a resin cast one, but rather one made by me with a lipped base, plasticard and milliput. "He hadn't wanted to, Grabby had been a good mate. But in the end, he knew to much and had to be dealt with. Being a space-pirate is a though life, but it can often get you down, Stalks pondered as the last of his friend sank into the toxic sludge of what has once been a great dock. But hey, I guess that's why they call it the blues..." The Blue flesh was (Fundation paint) Mordian blue (mixed with a lot of matte medium, damn shiny paint) and lightened with ice blue. The scales were the same, but with a black wash and during the final stages ice blue was substituted with skull white. Hope you like it, GSG

Looks good, blending is pretty smooth. The eyes look nice, a little shiny but i suppose they are eyes afterall. The metals all look real.
