Can I just say that the ranking system here seems to be very realistic for me and probably the same for others too. When I first joined my latest minis were probably my ghosts, which I considered good at the time but not great now really. The longer I am here, the more my painting progresses due to tips from the masters [everybody else here] and yet so does my rank from beginner and soon amateur etc. Just wanted to point it out

Thanks for that mate, I never looked at it from that point of view and have thought about changing the ranking system several times. It is good to know that you are getting something out of being a member here as that was the intention from the beginning to have a helpful and friendly site where no matter what your skill level you would be welcomed and also not intimidated by other people who have had the time to develop their painting. I think the way you can progress in the hobby by posting pictures and asking for advice shows in how Andre has developed from his first posts to his more recent works.
