For the last month I've probably started 30 greens and not been happy with one of them. This one's ok, much better than it looks in the pic. After this im likely to go back to heavily armoured european subjects which im much more comfortable with.

I actually think this is one of the best proportioned ones I have seen mate. I am going to cracl on with some more of your stuff just as soon as i have got my new glasses to help these old peepers of mine.

I think it looks pretty cool. its just one thing I don't really like, and that is a mistake most sculpters do. when you are fireing a bow, you just let the hand you don't hold the bow with (the right hand in this case) go just to your ear and not over your head some were. ( I'm an archer (or have been) so I know ) Other than that a great job, I really admire your sculpts Cheers, Razh P.S. I didn't want to sound rude . Just wanted to help

Tim--thanks, I tried to get proprtion right if nothing else and I think in that way it works pretty well, its the details that just aren't quite there. Don't bother with the rest of my figs Tim--they're unfortunately not as good as I thought they were once and aren't generating sales anymore so i don't need painted pics. Thanks though. Good point Razh, I've arched a bit myself and I realize you're right. You don't sound rude, thats about as mild a criticism as ive ever received . I fortunately have a good amount of time off coming up and hope to get some work done on some medieval Hungarians I've been planning

I wasn't planning to do more of these--but I was at a barnes and noble today and saw 3 ospreys on the period for 83% off! So I had to buy them and I'll give them a shot, I've been messing around sculpting zombies recently but its not all that fun or rewarding...So there should be some more of these to come in the next couple days.
I aim to improve on the next ones: More articulated neck/shoulders Thinner legs More defined shoulder and back muscles

Cool work mate, your sculpts really inspire me to do some sculpting of my own, it's just getting round to doing any hobby stuff which is the problem!

As a matter of fact--in my typical fasion I have changed my mind from the sioux, the problem being that conquest miniatures already produces a successful line. I might do them some day for fun, but not now. Anyway I've actually nearly finished a green of a hungarian spearmen from about 1330, heres a preview (I am taking lots of WIP shots for an article on sculpting w/o armetures)

Looking good on this one! I like the folds on the clothes a lot. My only critique would be for a more dynamic positioning of the legs, but that is really nitpicking.
