The orks look superb mate. But I think the cheques on the helmet might be a bit too much.

I think the checkered helmet would be a bit better if the browband part was solid black, rather than being checkered straight to the edge. But since when have orcs been fashion-conscious? ;D The skin looks really good, maybe just one more level of highlight. Also the teeth could use some yellow-browning esp closer to the gumline. Keep up the good work!

Thanks for the comments all. Still reading up on rust and I've done a little bit of experimenting with it, just to try and get a better understanding of it. Hopefully, I've almost got it and I can apply it to these soon. I've done a bit more work on these two, mostly on the heads and the metallics. I eased up on the checkered pattern on the helmet them since it was just looking like too much. I'm also holding off on putting the heads on until I'm sure I have them pretty much how I want them. Once I have these two done, I think the other three will move along much quicker. Any advice, feedback, pointers, etc are appreciated.

Ok, got these two put together. After this, I think the next three should go a lot smoother (and faster). If you see anything that I've missed or have any advice on something that needs to be improved upon or worked on, please let me know. Thanks! (P.S. Tim: In case you didn't see it, I sent you a PM)

Great job on the rust for the metallics, Hinton. These are looking nicely weathered. Two minor nitpicks (one really)--I think the whites are too white on the checkered loincloth and the warhead on the rocket. They are very well done, just look too clean in the context of the rest of the mini. A thin wash of smoke or any dark brown would grundge it up nicely.

Thanks for the comments, guys. Good point about the whites; not sure what I was thinking there. I mean, everything else is looking dirty and weathered, so why are those areas fairly clean? Many thanks for pointing that out; I've since corrected it. And thanks Tim.

These were pretty close to being done over two weeks ago, but here lately I've been pretty busy at work (I got promoted to a manager position rather unexpectedly), so I haven't had a whole lot of time for anything, especially painting. I finally go some time today since it's a holiday today here in the States, so I got a bit done on these. They're not completely done yet, but getting much closer; still quite a few areas to touch-up. I also started in on the bases. As always, I would very much appreciate any feedback, pointers, etc on any of these. Bases:

Thanks, all. Ok, another update here (and it's big!). I've gotten to the point where they're getting close to done; I just have to make sure that I don't get in a rush and wind up missing something. There are still a few areas to touch-up, but I wanted to post these now so that there's time for people to comment, offer advice and let me know if I've missed something. While I was in the process of sealing these, they fell over and wound up chipping the paint in a few places. Some of those areas I didn't see until I was getting pictures, but I am aware of them and will be fixing them. Basically, I'm going to go over every little bit of each mini and make sure there aren't other areas that are chipped. #1#2#3#4#5

They all look rather cool, nice and neat. The only thing that jumps out at me is that the green might use another highlight in some places. The metals are great!

Excellent mate, and will make a great addition to the project. I love the skintone and the Rokkits are also well done. Thanks for the time and effort you have obviously put into these models. I will be getting back into gear with the CiN project this week so expect a WiP sometime very soon.

I have secretly been working on an addition to Hinton's fine ork crew...here is the preliminary work with his boyz in place. I have quite a ways to go yet (really only just partially basecoated), but you get the general idea.

The scenic bases weren't a requirement but they do make a damn fine addition to the project. Dagorlads is fantastic and as soon as I transfer the finished Ork onto one of the integral bases and place the second one on one I will take a picture of the whole piece with minis on. This is going to be a fine addition also and I think will attract more attention to the final sale.
