That tutorial link for skin and rusty metallics is awesome!
Great find and thanks for sharing it.
I will have a good rummage round my orky bitz box for you this weekend as I believe I may have a spare set of Horns and stikkbombs for Ghazgull. If I have I will forward them to you in New Zealand to save you ordering them.
So hows the big fella coming on?

Hope your son gets better soon, my son is also sick and just had a barium scan on his bowels so I appreciate where you are coming from- family comes first, and my little man is more important than little men!
Had a rummage through my bitz box and unfortunatley don't have the spare Ghazgull pieces, sorry about that.

He's ok, just strep throat. Unfortunately that does mean for an 11 month old that he wakes up about 3 times a night for the last 5 nights. So I am pretty zombiefied. I did manage to paint the skin on his right arm at about 3am this morning after getting the boy settled (I haven't looked at it yet this morning to make sure it is ok).
I will finish off the bases next so we can get them to spacemunkie asap.

ok after a break of almost 2 months from painting anything I have picked up a brush again. Of course flat batteries in the camera so after a recharge I can show the small progress I have made. Actually feel like painting at the moment though, so progress should be ok (despite signing up for Iron painter III)

Lovely work on the metals and in particular the blood staining, looks like a demanding mini to tackle.

Just a quick - no photo - update. I will have the bulk of the metal done in a couple of days (photo's up then).
Have started playing with a checked pattern on the shoulder. If they are still there when I give the photo update then I am happy with the results, otherwise I will paint over them.

Well I had a shitty couple of months (you know life and stuff) and didn't really even pick up a paint brush. Hence no updates.
Over the last few weeks I am happy to say things seem to be getting on track again and the painting has restarted. I did some work on the bad boy this morning and will try to take a photo this evening. Everything is coming on nicely though although I was worried that after such a long break the colours wouldn't match but it looks ok.
Tim could you PM me the address I will be sending to and is there any chance I get get a set of those bases we had cast as well.

OK I could login this morning. The reds on the body, knees and right arm have one more stage to go (I highlight with a bit of a washed out pink to show the paint is faded) plus the chips etc. That should only be one sitting to do. I will glue the jaw on after that I think and get that finished. Haven't really decided what I am doing with his feet yet. EDIT: can you guys see the pictures? All I see is [image] written where the pictures should be. I can right click to take me to the image though? strange. A little tweaking and there we go.
