Very nice and for a quick attempt it is excellent, thanks for the submission. Now I need to set a closing date for this so I will say how about the end of the month to tie it in with the concept art competition, then I'll lock the thread and start a poll. Does that sound ok to everyone?

Yes that would be good, I will close this thread officially on August 31st and then set up a new thread with the poll, whoever wins will recieve something from my stash of minis that I have in ever increasing numbers.

modified, much cooler. i know the colors still dont go well (or do they?) if they dont, just tell me what color to make it and i'll have it done as soon as i see it (well.. almost)  ps: if u look at it from the right distance, it looks like "World of Mints" |

When you are happy with it make it your submission and it will then be entered into the competition with the others, I do like the colours better than the green more muted and fits the site rather well I think.

Ok then that is it you have now entered, I am going to open up a voting thread at the end of the month for people to vote on the submissions and who ever wins gets his/her banner on the top of the site and also a prize out of my personal mini stash.
this is not a serious comp just a bit of fun, I thought I would offer a prize just to make it worthwhile.

Genestealer, cool banner but I like the greenish one slightly better - it goes fine with the grey forum skin in my opinion but then I am colour blind!!! Mind you the second one has more interesting colours within the borders and on the "gems" or whatever you'd like to call them. How about making the title a bit bigger and showing it in a post? And maybe some hybrid combos - I'd be interested just to see what they look like. This one gets my vote so far whichever version you use!

i did a quick one, its basically the same as the current one just darker and with an added mini i thought id keep it simple yet it fits in with the site layout.  |

Missed this while on holidays, so here's my effort   the thumbnail thingies were indiscriminately plucked from the site and a few others to cover illyad etc... they would be a piece of cake to change, just drop a 55 pixal square on top... i may have another go at something else so i'm not saying definitely yet that this is an entry  |

I've kinda got hooked on this photoshop thing! The only problem is my ideas are way out of my tech ability so here's another straightforward idea... somewhat pinched of dfbuk2  the images can be covered easily as dfb said, rotatable.. these are two i've taken from my CMON favourites page... i tried again not to make it only fantasy or GW....  |

eep. im scared that sum1 else might win. does my banner count as fantasy only or 40k only? ive always thought they look more fantasy but they can be used in both, but oh well, if they do look like fantasy my border is techy |

There are no set categories for hte banner as long as it fits the site and it gets the most votes then that will be the one we use.

Very nice menace - better than the first one for sure and the idea was there to be pinched don't worry! How about etching that text into the marble that would look cool???
I personally like the idea of having two big pictures of mini's either side of the logo text and the idea of using competition winner mini's is a good one and gets my vote.
Genestealer, are you going to post yours with some larger title text at all? I'd like to see it with some bigger text and with some mini's on it as it's a great design!
