Number 2 in Curunir's post is one I strongly agree with. Luckily I haven't seen the typical effects of that yet, but it's just a couple of days there. On other forums it has always had bad effect on some of the users at least... I think until you experience the appearance of usless/two-word/unwanted posts, it's ok to have the bar there, even if I don't really see the use of it. As for the layout, I also didn't like it when I saw it first, but I got used to it quickly and now I think it's quite ok. Especially since the rollover highlights are not that harsh. It has a kind of depressive atmosphere, though  |

My initial shock is now over, and I have gotten a little more used to it, but still I find it just a little too dark. Maybe it is just me. Cheers |

I have the feeling that the ImageShack hosting is not working anymore. It seems that the picture uploads, but there is no link displayed anywhere in the popup window, or inserted in the message.

Yeah I have noticed that, my main member of staff has not been on for a few days and he is the one that does alot of the tweaks, as soon as he comes back on I will get him to have a look at some of the issues that have been raised. Please bear with me.

hey sorry for my absence ive been at the hospital with a broken leg =P anyway, about the rank bar, i can remove it if you wish, i put it on there because i thought it might look cool but obviously its more of a pain than a delight. with the imageshack uploader, your right and all try n get it sorted some time soon  |

Aparantly its really bad for your eyes to read a light colour off a dark colour on a comp moniter.
I also agree that its slightly more depressing, like the Palantir. Thats one of the greatest strengths of OR, is the real, bright happy atmosphere.
Just my thoughts

Watching this colour scheme for a while now, I think it would be good to separate the posts better in the thread view. It's difficult to make the difference between the posts, post headers, and the signatures. I would try to change the grey gridlines surrounding the posts to a bit brighter colour.

Now i'm accustomed to the colour changes i'd have to say i really like it... i know in theory it's not the most attractive but i don't think that should be the concern, it should be comfortable to browse on, which it is, and as for the depressive aspect (you should see my art!).... well, i love to wallow in my own self pity most of the time so it makes me feel normal!!
I have no probs with the ranking bar thingies either but i'd have no probs if they weren't there either

I have no problems with the colors. One thing I would prefer--when I reply to a post, the previous comments are listed in chronologic order. I would like to see them in reverse chronologic order so I don't have to scroll to the bottom to see the more recent posts. Just a thought . |

Ahh, here is something else. VERY much of a nitpick...but I noticed it when I was putting together the tutorial. When you select the image button, the cursor goes to the end of the ![]() [/img]. I have to get the mouse just right to move the cursor in between the two. Would it be possible for the cursor to automatically be placed there? This request makes me exceedingly lazy, I know ;D. |

I like the colour scheme and the post bar tracker thingy.
My only complaint is the size of the text when you use the quote option. The text you are quoting is tiny.

We are now subcribers to the shoutbox and as such this should stop the pop up ads, also members should be able to moderate and delete their shouts if they wish. Irf you have a problem doing this let me know and I will look into it.
