Nicew work on that Nurgle lord, he looks suitably rotten without going overboard, also congrats on the second place.

A great job, it looks so much better in real life, the 'atmosphere' of the paintwork really suits the mini. Unfortunately it is these very qualities which makes it difficult to show on pics and be fully appreciated, if this was to be painted to wow the masses online it would need more contrast all over, but then, as you know, you would ruin that wonderful realism

Wonderful job on this one, MP! I like the grundgy armor and the decaying spots on the mount especially. As Menace alluded to, painting for online is a slightly different critter than real life. Just as is in theater or movie production, highlighting for photos must be a bit overdone to accentuate the features. I am always frustrated by how things look in real life versus how I get them to photograph. I bet this is spot on in real life. I really look forward to seeing more of your work!

The mini looks great. I think ,even photographed , this mini looks 'real life'. I don't like the 'shrooms, they're too colourful, imo.More work on the base would've secured your 1. place,as the painting job is excellent(slightly off balance on the base, ain't it?)

Yeah, you might be right Charley, the base might be a bit off balance. I had to rush the base to get the mini finished in time for the competition, and I did not have a plan for the base. But the base wouldn't secured me the gold, just look here: ne.games-workshop.com/news/golden%2D06/All of you, thanks a lot for the nice comments. I really appreciate it Cheers Mikkel
