Well I have been catching up on some reading and finally finished the X-men Crossover "Messiah Complex"... I mentioned in an earlier thread I am not an "X" guy so many of the X characters that died weren't really known to me. I guess it was Marvel's way of making X characters more unique/relevant in a world of Super heroes... The series ended with a bang that I won't go into but let's just say there is one or two less significant mutants in the Marvel world right now ... I enjoyed this 13 parter and it didn't let me down in the end. A solid 7.5 outta 10 the Reddog-O-meter I actually give the story an 8 but since there were so many different artists I knocked it down a half point... As for the "Rhas Al Ghul VS Batman" crossover, it did let me down in the end, I think they could have made a bigger splash in the Batman universe but they opted out. I think one of the best books was the "epilogue" story but I had to wait 8 issues to get there .... So I give this series a 6 outta 10 on the Reddog-O Meter For Bat fan's only... The crossovers did do there job though. I am going to pick up the new issues of X-force when it comes out (the art looks great) kind of a mutant wet works team... I also picked up the "Nightwing" book. The art is excellent and the story is ok (as it starts a new arc) I was never a Robin fan but he is good on his own! A younger Batman if you will... 7.5 outta 10 on the Reddog-O-MeterSo the marketers did there job! I bought some comics I wouldn't normaly buy and started reading two new books! What a sucker I am Until Next Time! ArrOOoo!
