Hi! Can't believe I've never been here before! despite that I've been at CMON since 2002 and Wyrd since 2005. I'm also Duende at Coldsteal painting and Mad Puppet as well. I only just got here today by following the link in one of tidoco2222's posts in the CMON forums since I recently decided I need more forums to surf.  So which category is the best one to start to get caught up on all the goings-on around here? Hopefully I'll soon get a avater and signature up. Just wanted to post and say "HI! I'm a World of Minis Newb!" ;D |

you might try posting in the showcase or wip section, also the face behind the brush thread in general discussion, thats where i started posting ( i think )

You need more forums to search or.....work is boring! lol
The WIP threads are fairly active as is the general discussion. The Children in Need project is currently on, so that forum gets a boost every once in a while.

Welcome To WoM mate  You will find the site very friendly. we have, as Matty said, a children in need project going on, I think there will be more space for volunteers, if you are interested As already pointed out the showcase-, WIP- and general discussion forums are great to get started with the site. Welcome to World of Minis! As rougetrader said, the "Face behind the brush" thread, is a nice way to start, and posting you minis in the showcase section would be nice too. I would suggest taking some time in the showcase section to watch some great minis, there are many amazing painters here at WoM Cheers |

Thanks for the warm welcome. OMG, I did put my face in the 'behind the brush' thread and it's true! I didn't see any other fems there. I'm almost afraid to know what you guys do in here that scares all the other women off....... Almost. That doesn't really bother me. Most of my life I've always had more "guy" friends than "girl" friends, so I'm not really surprised to be in a male-dominated hobby. OK, I'm off to post a wip somewhere around here... I'm still trying to feel my way around 'round here. |

Welcome to the forums, sorry it has taken me the longest to say hello but I just got in from work. The forum is fairly active and I think it is one of the more friendly places on the net. A forum is only as strong as the membership that post and we are lucky here to have alot of regular postings. Post where ever you feel you have something to add (that goes for everyone) but the bulk of the forum activity is in the WIP and showcase sections also General Discussion gets a fairly regular visit. If you have anyquestions feel free to ask. Also any work you may have can be put in the Gallery that we have now by clicking the link at the top of the main page and opening an account there.
I hope you enjoy your time here.

Nope. It goes to me, hehe. Welcome Duende! This place is as close knit as LCS's site and what's even better, is mostly made up of folks from across the pond. Now I can post both day and night and get quick responses! There are some great painters here and about as friendly as you can get, to boot.
