I stole this idea from another froum, but it's definitely a conversation-starter: Who is you favourite painter(s)?
I have chosen five painter with different styles. The painters might not be the best in the world, but i have chosen them because of their styles.
Here's my top 5:
1. Jakob Nielsen
2. Matt Parkes
3. Allan Carcasso 4. Joe Hill
5. Darren Latham

Mmm that is a difficult one,
Darren Latham would definately be high on my list but also people like Alexi Z, and Margo. James Wappell is also in there. Fredy, Romain, AllanC.
There are soo many to choose from for many different reasons one painter who features very high on my list is our very own Menace.

There are soo many to choose from for many different reasons one painter who features very high on my list is our very own Menace. Dennis is definitely among the better painters. Even though he isn't famous like Jakob, Allan, Natalya etc, you can see that he has talent. Considering the time he has painted minis, he will definitely be capable of winning some deamons in a few years. He has shown so much progress over the one year he has painted, so I say: Reach for the sky Dennis!

I agree if I don't see Dennins with a Demon in his hands one day there will be no justice left in the world.

Puh, such a hard choice, sometimes a one off just comes up that i love but on consistancy i have a few favourites and you may notice they all use metallics in no particular order & i don't know real names for most Jakob Neilsen Olivier B Nano JMPN Darren Latham, his new eldar is gobsmackingly good Magobaku Thanx for the kind words guys, i think i'm a few years of these guys but i'll keep learning... to be honest i still have no one way i do anything, every mini i'm learning, screwing up, loosing the rag, breaking paintbrushes, drooling Great respect for Tims work, one of the first mini painters i got interested in because of LotR and still the most prolific and constant painter around! At the end of the day i have admiration for anyone whose prepared to put a modicum of effort into the hobby except the prima donnas... i won't mention names ;)Z ;D

Whew--this is tough. Coming from the other side of the pond, I would have to add in a few American painters--EricJ, Jen Hailey, Marike Reimer, and Derek Schubert. Of the "dueling Russians" I prefer Margo over Alexi, but admittedly it is as much based on her demeanor as anything. Yellow one does some nice work as well. Ritual does some excellent work as well. The others already mentioned I would definitely agree with.

Don't really follow any painter really, but I have always been fond of Mike Mcvey's work.
