Greetings to all those just joining the site and thanks Tim for letting us know about it...

Sometimes it's difficult to join in with existing forums, and difficult to keep up so hopefully i have no excuses being a part of a new forum...

Me, i'm painting minis just under 6 months now although painting is nothing new... i'm a Master of Fine Arts (Painting) and work predominantly in oils. Mini painting is a great break, kind of like a busmans holiday from my work and lately i've been doing more of it than i should. Acrylics are a lot more complex than i first assumed and i've been mainly experimenting with every technique i've read to find what suits me best.

I usually hang out at one-ring.co.uk as i love all things LotR and prefer that range of minis and i've posted a few minis on Coolminiornot, it was this site that really inspired and pushed me to go further...

Inspiration?? Tim has been for the LotR, one of the best around in this genre, Jakob Nielsen for sticking to the 'eavy metal which i love, Alexi Z for doing it the way i don't want to! and countless others....

Well a big warm welcome to you mate, I am so glad to see you here and I hope you will post some of your minis here, I have seen your work on One Ring and love everytinig you have posted there.
Also don't be modest you are the winner of the Golden Griffon after all are you not ;D

Hej Dennis, thanks for tipping me off to this site. I only wish that I had beaten you to it first, but I suppose being number three on a site that I feel is going to take off "ain't all bad"!
