As some of you may know, I live in England. Over the next few weeks I will be cycling around my county, to see what interesting (yeah right) things I can find.
Today was the first day. I left the comfort of my house, armed with a camera, bike and determination. I had no idea what to expect.
As I cycled up a steep hill, I saw something which looked like a space marine shoulder pad lying on the side of the road. I decided not to take a picture.
Minutes later...
I came across something interesting. A hedge. Yes, thats right, a normal hedge. But there was something about this hedge that got me thinking. All will be explained after the pic:
(It's not the best of pics but it was a very sunny day).
Anyway, the explaination. You see, the hedge was neatly trimmed. I thought- "Someone must have spent hours trimming that". It was then that I saw a large hole in the road near me. This one in fact:
Then it occured to me that people carde more about their hedges than the state of the path. At that moment I felt proud to be English. English would rather keep their hedges looking nice instead of caring about a dangerous hole in the path, which people cycle along. Anyway, I was off cycling again.
The next thing I found intrigued me. You'll find out why soon.
You may think, "whats so interesting about that?", but the thing is, the gate was wide open. I found this extremly funny, until I realised that their was a chance that their was a bull somewhere near. I set off again quickly.
I'll leave you with this nice picture to look at. If you can't make out what those shapes are they're cows. You won't find many of those in Australia. Anyway, here it is:
I had to take a quick picture of them because I saw the farmer in the field in his tractor and I didn't know whether he'd like me taking pics of his cows.
You probably thought that this was total rubbish. Hopefully it will be better next week now I know what sort of things to look for.
