This thread is to be used for any comments that you may wish to make on the winners of the Mechanical Mayhem contest. Three fantastic entries and deserved winners IMO. This was a tough contest with some excellent entries so to get the top three spots you have done really well. Could you pm me your addresses please so I can get your prizes off to you A.S.A.P.

This was a tough competition to shortlist and there were a few people who had excellent entries and didn't score any votes which is a shame because each model was impressive. I struggled to shortlist it down to Demi,Drevilmonki, jnr and thryths. Each with very different qualities. Drevilmonki and Demi had the best bases, Thryths awesomely smooth blending but jnrs overall painting especially the face and scrollwork and the dark look won it for me. I hope the next competition is as fiercely contested with great entires as this one was!

I thought they were all fantastic, and wish I'd been able to give each of them a vote, because they all deserved it.
Well done to everyone.

Thanx to all who voted for my entry and all the entrants who made the excitement When i began this comp entry i had grand ideas of painting up one of those Inquisitor scale pitfighter things with a mad base but i had so little time to spare i rumaged through what i had and chose the scribe. It soon became a love affair, honestly the sculpt is amazing for a mini smaller than an lotr high elf so i couldn't go far wrong. I decided on a futuristic theme of a dark, dirty, oily environment which i hope to keep with my future 40K but when finished i didn't think he was 'spectacular' enough to win but he did, so many thanx for nudging me to think i WILL kep to the gritty look I think that is why i love Demi's work so much, when the entries were posted i said to the missus ' F*** look at that, well, at least i'll loose to a great mini', and i really thought it deserved to win, but after some objective thinking i realised there was something there for everybody, so i hope everyone enjoyed the comp... ...a massive well done to bru & thryth for their quality work, i'll b watchin out for you guys in the future... sorry, i'll be stabbing you buggers with an anointed blade in the near future! ..as for the next, i'm sort of instigating it and won't be entering, however, i will be judging in the event of a tie breaker!

Nothing to say but great entries guys. I enter quite a few competitions on the web and this was one of the highest quality ones I've ever entered.
I need to improve for the next one I think. Looking forward to it already.
