The CollectingCitadelMiniatures Group on Yahoo occasionally release a limited edition figure for members and the 2007 figure is now available.
It is an orc or ork mounted on a war kangaroo, sculpted by Bob Olley. Each figure comes with a sprue of alternative arms and shields so it can be assembled as the groups traditional collectors piece with a sable brush in one hand and a palette in the other, or as a fantasy piece with shield and axe or as sci-fi with a bolter. The miniature stands 36mm high and the base is 60mm long. A big thank you to Bob Olley who has helped the group bring this project to fruition.

There will be a maximum of 500 cast and each will have its number scribed in the base and come in a baggie with a special label.
So why, I hear you ask, a war kangaroo?
This figure is dedicated to Joe Thomlinson, who is not only one of the CCM Group moderators but is also the creator of the CCM wiki. Many of you will not be aware that, at the beginning of the year, Joe had to step back from the hobby for a while as his young son was diagnosed as suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorder. The group moderators decided we would like to do something to not only recognise Joe’s contribution but also to provide some form of assistance.
So a war kangaroo because Joe lives in Australia.
And all profits (about a third) of the sales will be donated to the Bialla Early Intervention Centre which provides much needed services for young children with special needs.
Normally this figure would only be available to members of the group but, as the proceeds are for charity it has been decided to make it available more widely. So now you have a chance to obtain a truly limited edition model, recognise one of the major contributors to the hobby and donate to a worthy cause.
Each figure costs GBP 10 which includes airmail postage anywhere in the world.
