Well as the title says, what do you listen too (if anythng) while painting, does the type of mini affect your listning preference or vice versa. I have been an old school heavy rock fan all my life and that is basically what I listen too, but some times the style of music very much influences what and how I paint, how about you guys.

When I paint I usually listen to some slow, evocative industrial music. Great for setting the mood and doesn't grab my attention too much.

Some great music people are listening to. Ok for me it depends on the mini, if I paint say Orks then it tends to be loud crash bang type music such as
Manowar Metallica Venom
But if I am painting say LOTR
Magnum Bob Catley (Especially the Middle Earth Album) Pink Floyd Rush

Hmmm Lately I've been painting to AFI, but before that I was painting to Taking Back Sunday and Saves the Day. It's funny sometimes when I listen to an album it reminds me of painting a specific model. Whenever I hear Boys Night Out I'm reminded of painting a near endless horde of orcs (rather badly I might add lol...)

I always get distracted by music when I paint. I can hardly walk and chew gum at the same time let alone paint and sing at once lol. But when I am not painting I like to listen to Tool. My all time favorite band.

I listen mostly to Jazz. Seems to fit my mood while I'm painting and I've found a couple of online stations that have great track list. i stick the radio on, seems to work for me i hate classical though, cant stand it You hate all classical music? All four centuries (depending on how you define "classical") of it? OK, here is a silly question, but how much classical music have you heard and more importantly how much have you listened to? I'm scared to ask what you think of Jazz.

well, i HAVE to listen toclassical music everyday, my ICT teacher has it on in all his lessons and i have ICT about twice a day, so i have to listen to quite a lot i dont like it because its boring, i do like some classical music, but it has to be loud, quick and be played in an action film

I have a wide range of musical tastes....I really everything from Classical to Heavy Metal...but that being said, I rarely listen to music while I paint....Usually its the television for me.
I am not particulary fond of most modern pop and rap music....I'm not really a prude, but alot of that music is offensive and lewd...not something I would consider enjoyable. Innuendo is one thing, but to be filthy for filthy's sake seems juvenile and crass to me. Probably just because I am getting old....

I flick the radio on, or listen to the LOTR sound track. My favourite bands are mostly rock, a few are local:
Mumsdollar Wash Day of Fire Switchfoot Amberlin
So I just listen to anything i like basically,
Alex
