Mmm I have the extended versions, I am not realy interested in new interrviews and behind the scenes stuff, now if they added even more footage into the films to make them more complete then that would be something worth buying.

They said they've added the theatrical versions. The theatrical versions are usually different from the dvd versions.
Example: I remember when I saw two towers in the cinema, in the scene when the uruks have made camp on the borders of Fangorn, I remember that Ugluk mentioned Grishnakh by name. This was not included in the dvd or the extended dvd.
More scenes like this that were deleted, though I don't remember them ATM.

Mmm I still think I would like to hear from someone else who owns them before I take the plunge, I paid for the collectors ones so they were not cheap and I think there would have to be a very good reason before I buy them again.
