I have been pondering over a few questions lately, so if anyone knows the answers, i would like to know: 1. How long has GW been going? 2. What is "capitalism"? 3. How long has this site been going? Any help would be appreciated.

Games Workshop have been going for around 30 years now I think it may be longer, a simple google search will answer your question, they first started as a mail order company for guess what games back in the late 70's based in Newark, Issue 1 of White Dwarf came out in 77 I think. Back then you could order any games and miniatures that were available at the time, I was only 10 then so I didn't realy know alot about it and it was another year before I got into gaming with minis. Citadel were only a fledling company but soon got a reputation for producing some good quality minis (this is based upon the casting methods at the time). It wasn't until the mid eighties that GW became a self sufficient company that produced its own games and miniatures and didn't sell any other brands. By collaborating with Citadel they became the company they are today. The first GW stores sold all manner of games and minis but as time went on they went alone selling only their own games with Citadel minis as the supporting role and also White Dwarf became a GW products only magazine. That just leaves you one question to answr and I guess that capitalism has been around for as long as humankind could benefit from someone elses endeavours.

1: Tim's profile says his account was activated at Jun 14, 2006, 5:59am so I'm assuming it was round about then! 2: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capitalism3: It says in the Wikipedia article (god I love that site!) that GW was founded in 1975, so 2006 is it's 31st year!
