Well round two of Iron painter saw me very short of time since I was having to finish my GD entry. The theme was freehand and I put a tattoo on a beastmans back. I rushed this one a lot but am happy with the overall finish. If you get a chance I would highly recommend being involved in the next Ironpainter (if there is another). The themes every round really help push you out of your comfort zone and I am feeling more creative than in a while.

Not bad at all, I think the skintone is a little shallow in places but still looks good, but that tatto on its back is feckin awesome mate, the gore on the blades is a nice touch too.

I realise you didn't have much time but as the others said the Tattoo is fantastic and so well suited to the mini, well thought out, good work on the blades too. Maybe after the contest you could give him a little pimping... good luck with Iron Painter

Maybe after the contest you could give him a little pimping... good luck with Iron Painter lol WAY to much other stuff on the bench o be revisiting him. Paint em and forget em (well sort of). Even if I don't get into the next round I have just undercoated my first GD entry for next year, plus I want to finish the unit of Bane knights and put them on a scenic base, plus have an elf mage ready etc etc. I am sure you know how it is.

That is the slippery slope to a cupboard full of unfinished minis. Believe me I know I have at least two cupboards of half finished paintjobs, the problem is they have been sat around for so long that I can't remember colour mixes and the like so to finish them would mean starting from scratch again anyway. There are days when I think about giving this up altogether and just getting rid of the lot.

Well I did that pretty much. I took 10 years off more or less. All I kept was my favourite paitjobs and even they were just stored in a box!
For me I NEED this. I use it pretty much like a form of meditation, it is the most relaxing thing I do!
