Here is the latest off the table. I was teaching my girlfriend the drybrushing technique. If I can talk her into it, I'll get her to post her very first mini as well

Drybrushing was always one of my favorite things to first learn...
When you first get it down, you start drybrushing everything!
Its a great technique for beginners to learn (an old painters to remember) because it can be so effective and you get great results pretty easily.
I like the wolf alot....very sinister looking. I didn't even notice he had 6 legs until I looked for the 3rd time...
Nice puppy!

Excellent mate and no drybrushing is not a crime I still use it myself from time to time.

Can something that looks so evil be described as beautiful.. oh well, it is! The head is great, the eyes really glow for me... i'd maybe have gone a shade lighter on the backs highlights but that's nitpickin.
As for drybrushing, i use it regular, i remember reading some painter had done their basing with layering and blending and i thought Nuts!!! It looked good but no much better than a drybrush job

Nothing is better than drybrush for furs and your drybrush is very clean, i see no trace of the usual dust effect it usually produce, i like the colour too.

The wolf looks good, the eyes even better . Doesn't even looks like drybrushing. The problem with the drybrushing is that a lot of people find it hard to get the feeling for it, like how dry or wet the brush should be. Second problem is, that after a successful drybrushing they think it's ready, although for fur and similar surfaces some additional glazing can do magic. Yours is just perfect

Your drybrushing is great. My first technique was drybrushing but never looked quite as good as yours. Now that I have learned to blend and do all that "advanced" stuff I still find myself scared of drybrush. You drybrush like a master.

Very good paintjob, i was always saying that dry brush can look good I only think that fur on his back could be in other color. Btw, you should also post photo of girl. Umm, joke
