Welcome to the ANTI Rant thread, as opposed to the Rant thread, here you can post the good things that have made your day/life worth living.
Happy Happy Happy, People.

I handed my notice in at work yesterday, and am taking a year out, so I should have all the time in the world to paint. Inbetween running the house that is..........

Only problem is that they got sent to my parents house. Won't be able to get my hands on them until next week.

About 4 month ago I ordered 5 I kore arch angels off eBay for £5 (Pretty good bargain considering I Kore doesn't exist anymore) But after a few weeks I hadn't recieved any so emailed the seller, they told me they had shipped more out, but still no luck. After about 2month they left positive feedback for me.
So I was pretty surprised after 4 month, to find them sitting in my passageway! The only thing I can think of is that they were held up at custom's. (They were from Spain)

I have just moved into my new apartment. It feels good living by my own, and living in a big city like Oslo, rather than the small town i lived in before And I live about 500 meters from the GW Oslo store

Positive news on the Tim C front too, I went and spoke to some very nice people about another job on the railway and they are very keen to take me on, this means that all the crap from the disciplinary will affect me not at all as I put them in the picture about that and I will get a hefty pay increase too. Yay.

I've been on holiday in Wales for a week, came back and had my birthday, and also there's something which is making me happy at the moment, but its lets say it's more personal and if I'm lucky and things go my way then I might be in an even better mood in a few days.. ;D So this is the perfect thread for me at the mo!!!

I wasn't sure whether to put this in the rant or anti-rant section but I have been told to always think positive.
I have not been around lately in much capacity just the odd pop in. The job I loved had got me down and for the first time I have been waking up and saying " oh another day there i really don't want to do this". My father had been diagnosed with cancer in 3 places a year ago and we have been fighting to get it sorted. I have had to take quite a lot of time off work in order to get him from ramsgate to london for scans and scans about scans and trying to find a doctor who actually knew what they were talking about. Anyway he is now starting his chemo for bowel and liver cancer and the lung cancer we have been told was just a problem with the scanners and he doesn't have it.
But now I am back. I have finally picked up a brush in many months and I can think about paints and hues and all that lovely stuff again without wondering when the phone rings that something else is wrong.
Work hasn't changed but I am working on that.
So as I said not sure if this a rant or an anti-rant. Time to get back on the horse

Welcome back mate, I am glad your father is ok even though it must have been hell until you found out about the scan malfunction. My father in law died of a perforated ulcer nearly three years ago and I still believe it was NHS incompetence that led to his death. He was being treated for something he didn't have. I hope you get your work sorted it makes the world of difference to your life. Since I got the positive result yesterday with my employment future I feel like a weight ha been lifted off my shoulders.

Bru - Don't worry, I feel that today is my day! tadme - Good to hear that you're back and that you're father is ok, but I bet you felt like nuking the hospital after you found that all the fuss was made by a malfunctioning scanner! Jabber - Congrats on your engagement, many happy years ahead for you (hopefully)!

well good things for me is that next week i get the house all to myself yay i should actually get under way on my gd entry
i know this is kinda a rant but hey: tadme and tim especially i know how you feel because my lil sis had hodgkins lymphoma basically cancer of lymph nodes in her neck now shes all fine (yay)
and nhs are quite incompitent as my nan was very ill and they thought it was mrsa so they started treating her for it when the only way to test for it is to take a mouth swab but they never also my nan is a diabetic and they gave her too much antibiotics which reacted with her diabeties pills which effectivly made her worse and if they hadnt have found out that they messed up paperwork earlier she could have died from kidney or liver failure and they said she had about 12 hours if they didnt find the mistake.because they messed up so now shes sueing the nhs for all she can.

Well I had my GD ticket, but no way of getting down there (apparently the GW bus was full, and I had to wait to see if there were any drop out's last minute) so I asked on CMoN for a lift and it looks like i'm going down to stay at OrkyDave's over the weekend, so loads of painting, drinking and GD WooHoo!
