Lately I have become more interested in photography, so I created this thread to showcase my photographs. I know at least one of you guys are great photographers so I hope to get some constructive criticism ;D All of the following pictures were taken when I was riding my bike around town. So now you know how the small city of Horten looks like on a overcast afternoon ;D A brew. I really like this picture. Not a good picture, but I like the athmosphere I like the way the crane dissapears into the fog. A canal. Another shot of the canal. Yet another shot of the canal. A submarine, on the ground An alley. Just thought it looked cool. Another shot A dock. I really like this picture. Another shot of the dock.

what i assume are two dockside warehouses Well the two warehouses actually are the Norwegian Naval Museum, and that's why you see a subamarine in one of the shots ;D The museum lies on a old shut down army base, which has warehouses, and docks which are still in use. I was considering going down into the dock, but I didn't dare. The dock is probably 30-40 metres deep, and the stair down looked old and rusty so I didn't want to risk falling down And I also noticed that the gate holding the water away was acutally leaking! Thanks for the kind words guys, I really appreciate it ;D Makes me want to keep on posting photographs ;D

I like your first pic.Why ? it got colour accents, but has overall same colours. Too much perspective on the others, rather snap-shot like. But the first pic is really good, imo.

This shows real promise, you have an eye for an image but if i was to be critical, which i shall, the desire for symmetry is overpowering and boring, try using the same motives and altering the angle of the camera, ask the viewer questions..what is that?? this makes photography of the ordinary interesting....alas, they are beautiful images, i'm just trying to suggest how you could develop these ideas

Thanks for the coments guys. @dennis: Yeah I know the photos are a bit boring. But I used what I have learned from photography classed at school and I was trying to use this "lines" to create depth in the photos. Here is another photograph I took recently. I was lucky enough to catch the sunrise at 05.00 in the morning ;D I was not only lucky enough to capture this beautiful moment, but I also used some scientific factors when I took the picture. The "line" (the horizon) in the back are there to create depht in the picture, and I am breaking this line by a purpose. The tree is placed extactly at the spot where the eye's attention is automatically drawn. I can't remember what this theory is called, but I have learned about it in photography class. Here it is, enjoy ;D

I like the first one best , the planks really catch the eye and the alley is also a good shot. The photo of the canal would probably be a lot better with a different reflection in the water and better weather.

Beautiful shot! Hand held?Btw. Golden ratio? Rule of thirds? Thanks mate. I don't have a tripod, so I just placed the camera on top if the railing of our porch Dunno what golden ratio or rule of thirds are:P That probably means that I didn't used it

I like the first pic, it's got nice depht-of-field. The last pic is also very nice, but try to set a lower ISO number, otherwise pics get grainy. Btw. i mistakenly deleted ALL my photos.

I 've software for 2 cameras and my pics started to fill my harddisc. So i thought i delete the files in the one program, not knowing that this program contained all the pics. Me is a stupid ninny with computers, y'know..but no serious harm done cuz the pics i treasure most (.. family pics..) i have in print. But i'm sorry about my macro shots..

I love them all! Especially the 1st one, it seems really moody. And the second one looks great too, looking out down onto the sea, great angle!
