Just home from seeing 300.. twice! That's a mixed bag for a crit, first timr round i fell asleep although that had more to do with the beer than the movie.. 2nd time round i was enthralled, this, without giving away a non existent plot, is the must see for fantasy nerds..it is utterly ball breakeninly eye bonerly fantastic... it borrows loads from gladiatror and such but adds 20 more ketchup bottles per scene! Go see it , best 90 kroner i've spent, and they let me see it agaain for free!! but then, they had to wake me up

I've seen it and I really enjoyed it!
Had such an urge during the movie to paint up some spartans. Anyone know any company that makes nice spartan models?

I loved this film! What little plot they tried to include should have just been scrapped and more fight scenes added in! These make quite a few Spartan minis: www.crocodilegames.com/But the best Leonadis (sp?) is from this company: www.darkslaveminiatures.com/

I have seen it, I thought it was fantastic, I don't know about there being no plot. The fight scenes are great I love the way that real time and slow motion combine to give the fighting more impact.
"This Is Sparta"
Poor old Faramir loses an eye and hast go home to tell stories, I was let down a bit at the end, I would have loved to see that huge battle that was shaping up with 10,000 Spartans and 30,000 Greeks against the hordes of Xerxes.

One complaint with 300, is that it seemed more like 30. Never got the feeling there were 300 Spartans!
But still...it was great eye candy...awesome battles, and very incredible characters.

somebody wrote "you will not enjoy this" in big letters across the packshot artwork. they have changed it now, although you can still see a bit of it in the hot dvd preorder banner button on the left.
