Just an observation, Recently i was rearranging my mini display and i couldn't help but notice the contrast had been lost in many of my 1st minis. Perhaps a coincidence, but these were all the minis i had used spray dullcote on! I now use brush on, and have done for a while, i thin the dullcote with turps and it helps maintain the finish of metallics, etc, these minis haven't lost the contrast at all?? Perhaps i'm just a better painter!

I have never checked mine but you have got me thinking that maybe I should. To be honest I haven't dull coated anything for quite some time now as I got fed up with the dull coat really killing the highlights on a mini.
