My area has been reduced to complete and utter chaos. I have no idea where anything is and its just covered in tiny plastic slivers and chunks of cork. This is what I get for making elaborate urban bases lol....

I had to clean up my area as my eldest son has grown up and can get upto my space. SO the cupboards are new as is the paint and part storage bins to tidy everything up. I actually think it has helped me get a bit more productive again.

my painting area has now become a tray, as i havent done any painting for over a month now ;D ;D ;D After my next figure i'd better ease up or i'm 'in the doghouse' (...again ) Here's my space, i tidied it up a wee bit after seeing Mikkels' but this is basically how i always work on minis... there's also a sneek peeek at my competition entry monster cat, can you guess who/what fig it is??? ps... i use a 500W halogen light reflected of the ceiling with a 200W Detail lamp, and when you accidentally touch it with your head when painting it burns...like f.....

It's a table in my painting area proper/gaming table/drinking table/sleeping under when i've been a bad boy table , the crappy table cloth is something Kristine insists upon! I really should have a photo of the whole painting area but i'd need a wide angle lens Wine and beer constantly make a mess of things but i try not to when mini painting i save those times for getting obnoxious online ;D

It's even tidier now, theres a new bits box in the corner next to the paints, no Bloodbowl pitch, and it has a new larger cutting mat, plus a nice little tidy mug to stand all my brushes in. ;D

What lamps do you use? It looks like you've got lots of light but I only see one lamp. I have two halogen lamps, and one "painting lamp" with a special daylight bulp. But still, I don't get my painting area as light as yours.

KEM in Oslo have some v expensive daylight lights/ double tubes but i prefer the halogen for picking out detail.. colour adjustments i make with daylight.. i work this way for my oil paintings and it has proved damn good so far... although all i do does turn out a lttle dull but it seems to bring a level of realism that is quite appreciated

I do have two lamps, both one with a 60 watt bulb in, which gets a bit warm, and I've moved it to a higher position now, as it was burning me head. I also have a normal overhead light behind me, and to the right is our front door which has large panes of glas on either side, so in the daytime is as light as it could possibly be without adding an interior Sun.
