Some nice stuff going on there, if you are realy serious about getting into it then there is a great Graphic Art magazine that has been published that is full of info and projects to try out as well as work from some of the masters of that genre, though I cannot for the life of me remember the title, Fantasy FX or something like that, I have a copy somewhere I will find it and let you know what it is called.

Digital art is so appealing... i'm afraid to start as the possibilities are endless. As Tim said if you really enjoy it you should look into it a bit and there is no better place than the net. I'll get you some links copied for my faves soon. Great start for such a short period of time, the star is spot on

I really have to be the one to give you some sort of differentiation between the subjects but as with all art speak your question opens a can of worms for which the answer is bigger than the question.... I'm thinking about it and i'll get back to you. Anyhow your work inspired me to have a bit of fun with photoshop, i ended up doing no work today and this is the result i know it's basic stuff but it took ages... i too would like to learn more now

I like the glow on the blue sun, but it looks a bit off to me with the other stars peeking through. If you wanted the object to be translucent, however, then it looks great!

I like the glow on the blue sun, but it looks a bit off to me with the other stars peeking through. If you wanted the object to be translucent, however, then it looks great! there not stars, just the tail end of the lens flare ;D i could have put the flare behind the planet (btw its an ice planet) but then it would defeat the object of it being there. i tried a land mass planet today (im on a roll with the ol planets ) but couldnt get the land mass bold enough without having the urge to throw the computer out the window nevermind

I've had my first go with gimp and i'd thought i'd share it with you. It's rubbish compared to Suladan't but it's my first try. Alien portal: (You should be able to see sky in background). I hope you like it.
