Started work on this guy for a customer. Any tips or suggestions might be helpful. Not done yet, still going to add loads of little bits to make him and the boar look a lot more savage. Conversions: Changed the original head with one from the Orc Boar Boyz Box, added feathers to the Boar from the Lizardman Warrior Plastic Box, chopped off the furry squig from the top of the staff and added axe head pieces from the Plastic Orc Boss Box, added a chain collar around the neck of the boar from the Plastic Giant Box, and lots of green stuff. Thanks guys. Tim, I got him from Reaper Miniatures. They have a lot of really great, single miniatures for sale. www.reapermini.com

Fantastic MK, just one thought, the fish have a similar flatness to the fur, which works well for fur but i'd like my fish slimey! perhaps these could do with a different treatment, hot highlights???

Added a little color to the bosses skin... I think I will end up going a little bit lighter with it though, maybe add in some flesh color. The axe is in the beginning stages, but the idea is that it is going to be instilled with some sort of magic, maybe call it "Soul Eater" or something. 19 Apr15 AprThanks for the comments guys. JNR, I'll see what I can do to slimify those fish...

Did some work on the savage orc boss, mostly just on his axe. I really like how it is coming out, though I am contemplating a reddish wash for the skull and staff. This piece is actually for a swap, so I really want to do a good job on it. Thanks for the comments guys, you rock.

The orcs axe is looking cool mate, maybe just try to blend it a bit more where the blades join with the skull. The Dwarf even at this early stage is looking excellent too.

Ok, so a bit of an update on all four pieces. My primary focus lately has been the night goblin army, but I have still managed to get a little done on my other projects. The Ettin. On him, I did the bone on the wood (i.e. the dragon teeth or whatever you want to imagine they are). Also, I did up the hands on his chest. PICS DELETED DUE TO MINI COMPLETION Arbaal. Finished fleshing out the flesh hound. Question is, and this doesn't have to be answered right away, do I bring the highlights up more. If so, do they go up to the flaming hot look, or the pinkish flesh look?

Ungrim. On him, I have done the dragon head up, hit the scales a bit (though I think they are going to need a lot more attention). Base coated all the metal bits and did the wood bits. The gold I am going to attempt to do NMM because of all the fine detail, so that has been started. And hit the skirt with some grey. Savage Orc Boss. Hit his gums, teeth, some bones, and did that animal skin that surrounds his body. Anyone have a good complimenting idea for the furry parts? Tim: Thanks for the tip. I am thinking of making the skull a bit darker, maybe more red. Add some fire to the eyes to imply possession? Razh: Yep. Though it still needs to come up to the yellow highlights. mutant potato: Thanks mate.

Wow mate, all nice pieces. I like the Ettin best of all. I have this to paint now thanks to jabberwocky and I may well use yours for reference. I do think that the bone on the clubs is too close to the colour of the wood, I think I would highlight again to make it stand out more but other than that a very nice mini.
