Love the Dwarfs I have to say that they are some of the best LOTR sculpts. Cant wait to see an army of them. Love the gold trim on the cloaks as well.

Smart!!!!
Not overly keen on the LOTR stuff myself, but you paint it up great Tim. Saying that I own the plastic Fellowship from the MOM box set.

Really great on both of those dwarfs. The top of the axe blade on the second one looks a bit undone, but it may also be a product of the picture.
LOTR stuff is not bad, but I still do not understand why GW decided to do it in standard 25 mm vs heroic 28mm.

Possibly but remember these are minis for gaming and not displaying so I am not going for a realy high standard just good enough that when not in use they still look ok in my cabinet.

Well if that is the goal mate... you have exceeded the expectation. Really great work, and I can't wait to see more. How many dwarfs make up a 500-600 point army?

Between 30 or 40 depending on troop type and weapon choices that sort of thing.

Continuing on with the Dwarves, this is the fourth member of the ever expanding army, not too far off being completed now. That is the beauty of these little guys they don't take much painting. I am also starting another Lotr mini for another article for the one ring site. More on that another time.

Yeah the pics are a bit out of focus, don't know what happened there, anywahy another update and this is more for me to see how the beard looks than anything else, The highlights on the axe handles isn't showing very well so I will have to do those again. But not far off done this little guy now.

I have got the first four minis complete now, and remember these are for gaming and not meant as display pieces in their own right but hopefully as an army they will look good as a collection too. Now onto the next few lol.

Thanks Andre, I haven't decided yet, I will probably go for Erebor then that will allow me to use Murin and Drar as allies.

I would definitely say that if you continue with this standard, you will have more than a table top quality army. Really great work, I can't wait to see the rest.

Definitely table top, definitely wouldn't have them in my display cabinet, need 3 coats of gloss varnish.... NOT. Top notch work Tim, i'd love to crush them with my envious elves, but there's only 14 of them finished ;D

Cheers guys, jnr your Elves still outnumber my Dwarves at the moment. I have just prepped up the next one for the tabletop standard army. I am alos at the moment painting a mini for another article on the One Ring. Beregond of Gondor and I am really pleased with how he is coming along at the moment. I am starting the armour today. I am going to put most of today's painting into him as I have some more time off at the end of the week which I will devote to the Dwarves.
