I have been thinkiing about doing a chrity paint thing, they seem to be quite trendy these days and at the end of the day it is for a good cause, now before I jump in the deep end I wanted to have a discussion about it firs. You know the sort of thing who is interested? what charity? what army? what genre that sort of thing. So fellow members what do you think?

I really don't know what a good charity would be. I think doing a full army would be good though. I like the idea of a GW army because it is easy for everyone to get a hold of the models, and it'll probably get more hits on e-bay than other companies products. I think doing a newer released army would be best.

Sounds like a good idea. Can't really suggest an army coz i dont have a clue bout WHFB and WH40k ( the chances of a LOTR are very slim). For the sake of coolitivity, Tau could be...cool.

Ok atthe moment this is just a discussion to see how many people would want to take part and then we can decide what minis/game system to go for. But so far tis is looking promising. Also I would like to say that your level of painting ability is not an issue so don't be put off by thinking you may or may not be good enough.

I would also participate, but it also depends on the amount of current free time, and the chosen army / minis.

this is a promising start, ok as for the timing we could organise that around peoples time making the commitment easier, I think whatI will do is go through the thread so far and make a list of people that are interestred and then if we get more onboard I can add to the list. That way we will no how many people we have and then we can start to talk about the possible minis to b used. Nothing is written in stone yet this is merely theoretical at this time.

I'm really keen to see this get going, with the whole Israel and Lebanon thing. And if you dont get heaps of people, you can just do a smaller army.
I think you should go for whatever will raise the most money.
Cheers,
Al

Well I am realy busy right now but I don't mind somebody taking the lead to organise it, otherwise it will have to wait until I have a little more time to dedicate to the organisation of the project. If somebody does that I will take over when the time allows, I will of course be able to take part in any painting too. I have a big commission that is taking my time and that is why I can't organise it as yet.
