Ok i think this is the closest thing i can show without breaking the rules: despite the appearence it's not finished yet: i must refine the base, do some gore on the severed head, and do weathering and gore on the blade.

Lovely mini mate, I hadn't really liked this sculpt until I saw your version of it and you have changed my mind.

Ok, my fantasy entry is in! It is done though, so I won't be putting it here in the WIP section ;D. Here is the start of my sci-fi entry. I am rather excited about it. It is a "classic" mini from the early '90's, so I hope I can give him a good look. I have started with the base; some destroyed asphalt with a bit of rebar sticking out. Suggestions and critiques are welcome (as long as that's not bending any rules, hehe).

Forget my csm, he's somewhere in the bottom layer of my wip pile. I've got something alot more characterful in the works. As you expect to see a sculpt from me, don't you?

Oooh...nice concept. I'll look forward to seeing this one in the contest. The "little" ghoul pet is a very good touch.

Great conversion of that Nurgle Lord, if all the entries are of this quality it should be a difficult one to judge.

Here is probably the first and last WIP I'll put up on my sci-fi entry. I have quite a ways to go yet, but all the colors are on. This little guy is old school GW! I got him in an exchange over a CMoN several years ago and finally got around to looking him up. It took a bit of digging, but I think he is a chaos marine called "Tentacle Arm" circa 1991. I am hoping to bring a bit of life into such an old mini. Whatcha think?

Hi,
Nice old-school miniature. If it helps, I also have that miniature and found references to it being "LE101 Chaos Renegade Marine" and "Chaos Renegade Tentacle Arm". I do not know if either one of those is accurate.

Here's the first WIP picture for my Sci-Fi entry. He's not nearly as fancy as half the stuff posted already, but is just an army-grade Chaos Marine for a Warband I'm just starting so that my owkr-in-progress force of "The Shriven" converted and sculpted corrupted Guard have some heavy-duty accompaniment should I ever get to field 'em all on a table. The current figure is actually finished (or at least as finished as it's going to get by the contest deadline) because I'm still in the process of trying to decide on a finalized icon and name for my Warband, which fluff-wise I'm making a more "Chaosy" offshoot of the Word Bearers (hence the scheme for this test figure). For what it's worth, here's my tentative icon that'd go on the dark left shoulder pad:
