I love this section, It's got the old memory going (ee..when I was a kid!!!)
Like most people I don't have the first figure I painted as it got melted down for model boat ballast before some of you guys were born (them was the days!!!)
But I do have this one painted late 80's. It's also my first sculpting attempt (the eye patch to cover his miss-cast eye) The base was added last year!!
Next pic, Carnifex. The first proper conversion with bits from the Epic Herodule.
One of my all time favorite minis
My first Golden Demon finalist 1989 open category, I've had a few more since then, lost out on a win last year due to damage in transit
And finally last years best bits.
I've since dropped the standards a little as I try to finish armies to battle with instead of spending hours on detail but I'm getting more games in

Only 20 years of painting you young pup you some nice minis there mate and definite progression in your level of painting. My first minis were melted down to make more minis from Prince August moulds as at the time they were the cheapest way to get a fantasy army quickly even though the quality was not that good.

Well it would be about 27 years but I don't count my Airfix days as it was a case of 1 coat of very thick enamels and then throw it out the window to see if it flew!!!!! And prince August were the first figures I painted too, Orcs and goblins, I could never get the sword to form properly and I always managed to get lead on the kitchen ceiling when I didn't dry off the mould properly. Grounded so many times for that!!! ;D ;D

Yeah kids always spoil our fun - I used to just toss mine a bone now and then as we didn't have a dog

Unfortunately if I did that the kids would eat me instead LOL!!! Plus they outnumber me 4-1, It's easier to throw sweets in the garden and then lock the door and listen to the shouting, good job I'm hard of hearing

Couldn't afford too many sweets for the kids in my day . One advantage I think in my method over yours is that mine longer talk to me as they are grown up and too busy eating junk food to make up for the healthy diet I fed them.
